Our Approach to Security

Chabad emissaries are guided by the motto, “and you shall gain strength westward and eastward and northward and southward” – reaching every Jew, wherever they may be, and opening their hearts and doors to them, often including those of their own homes. The effort, resources, and sophisticated methods used to threaten Jewish targets require Chabad emissaries to recognize the dangers and prepare for them in advance.

At the heart of our work is the principle of “A Chabad Center Stays Open, but Secure” – pursuing Chabad’s mission while remaining aware of security challenges, staying informed about developments worldwide, and adopting a proactive approach to security, always thinking one step ahead and preparing for every scenario.

CWA’s Comprehensive Security Model

1

The Human Factor

Awareness, ongoing training, and vigilance

2

Community Involvement

Training security officers and building a team of designated community safety volunteers

3

Physical Infrastructure

Comprehensive protection throughout the premises, including doors, windows, fencing, lighting, and more

4

Technology

5

Communication

Awareness Is Strength

Knowledge isn’t frightening… We believe that a lack of knowledge is far more dangerous. Awareness of incidents and potential threats is the first step toward staying vigilant and preparing for every scenario.

At CWA, we turn awareness into practical tools, a plan of action, and a strong foundation for effective security.
